It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Zenaida P. Soto also known as " Adela" at the age of 86, who went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 30, 2025.
Zenaida was proceeded in death by the "Love of her life" Ernest Soto her husband of 35 years at the time. The "Two lovebirds" as they were often called, were inseparable and had a real-life love story that was witnessed by everyone around them. She was also proceeded in death by her mother, Maria Zavala, daughter Alicia Rendon, granddaughter Cynthia Loving and other beloved family members. Zenaida is survived and missed by her four (4) adult children, Manuela Rendon (Joe Duran), Crescencio "Cres" Rendon, Jr., Yolanda (Ray) Welch, Tony (Evette) Rendon, as well as many beloved grandchildren.
Born on June 5, 1938, to Nicanor Perez and Maria Zavala. She was a long-time resident of Visalia, California. Zenaida was a homemaker. She was known for her unwavering love for her family. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Her daily specialty was making her delicious homemade tortillas that everyone absolutely loved. Zenaida loved to listen, sing, and dance to music. Her favorites were romantic love songs in Spanish. She loved flowers and enjoyed planting them. She loved all animals, especially her dog, "Bruno". She was always laughing and smiling. She loved telling jokes, acted silly at times which made everyone around her laugh, she enjoyed painting rocks, enjoyed playing with a deck of cards, enjoyed playing dominos and really enjoyed going to the casino to play on her favorite machine. Zenaida never knew a stranger and touched so many lives. She was the type of person that would strike up a conversation with someone she did not know, and they would become friends within minutes. Shew was always very friendly and welcoming to everyone. Her gift of hospitality was felt by many which included an invitation to her house for a home-cooked meal. She was the most loving and giving person in the world. She loved our Lord, her husband, her children/grandchildren, and everyone she met. She was selfless, supportive, caring. kind-hearted, cheerful, funny, humble, friendly, welcoming, out-going, and a one-of-a-kind mother.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile that could light up a room, her unwavering kindness, her motherly advice, her love and dedication to her family and her love for animals. Zenaida was the living definition of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We celebrate a life well-lived, a love well-shared, and a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us for generations to come. She was truly an angel on earth, and now one in heaven. We were blessed to call her our mom. She will be truly missed and will never be forgotten. Life without her will never be the same.
