Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2026 at 10 A.M. at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery for Shirley Gay Boen, 87 of Lindsay, who passed away March 16. Interment will follow.

Shirley was born October 2, 1938 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Raymond and Bessie Hemphill and was raised and attended school there. After coming to California in 1950 with her family, Shirley married Raymond Boen in Lindsay April 28, 1954 and the Boen family made Lindsay their home.

Shirley last worked as a Grader for Lindsay Ripe Olive and after her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, doing puzzles, camping and visiting antique and thrift stores.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Boen and by her son David Boen as well as all her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Susan Clifton (Wayne) of Lindsay as well as seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

No visitation is planned.
