Rosa Vela

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 8 at 10 at Lindsay Cemetery for Rosa Vela, 92 of Lindsay who passed away November 29. The Reverend Edgar Magana will officiate and interment will follow.

Rosa was born August 31, 1928 in Texas to Rosendo Lopez and Maria de Jesus Sanchez and came to California in 1958. In addition to being a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother  great and great great grandmother, Rosa worked as a farm laborer for many years. She enjoyed Gardening, praying the Rosary and for her family and spending time with all her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carlos Vela Sr., 2 children Carlos Vela Jr. and Alma Rosie Vela, 2 brothers Cruz Lopez and Apolonar Lopez She is survived by her children Esperanza Vela Robles (Rogelio), Raul Vela, Connie Vela Solorio (Ruben), Manuel Vela, Rebecca “Becky” Vela Murillo (James), 30 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 20 great, great grandchildren, her sister Concepcion Lopez and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM  at the funeral home. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.
