Robert “Bobby” Orosco, 69, of Lindsay, California, passed away on April 3, 2025. Bobby spent most of his life in Lindsay and later resided in Porterville.
Bobby was a hard-working man who took great pride in his work. He spent the majority of his life as a forklift driver—a job he truly loved. He was also no stranger to the fields, having picked oranges, olives, and more over the years. His strong work ethic and dedication made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
More than anything, Bobby will be remembered for his generous heart. He was kind, selfless, and always put others before himself—he’d give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His warmth and willingness to help others touched many lives.
Bobby found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved being around his family and watching his grandkids ride their bikes outside. He often visited his daughter and parents at the cemetery to feel close to them. He enjoyed watching football, entering squares, and placing friendly bets—especially during the NFL season. Sundays were special to him—particularly when he visited his mom’s house to enjoy a bowl of menudo while listening to mariachi music. And any day was a good day when oldies music was playing.
He had a playful spirit and loved to give people a hard time, always joking around to make others laugh. His teasing was never mean—just his way of showing love and making people feel seen. He had a quick wit, a sharp sense of humor, and could light up any room with his presence.
Bobby taught those around him the value of hard work, loyalty, and never taking life too seriously. He was a man who lived simply, gave deeply, and loved fully. He found happiness in family, football, food, and laughter—and those things defined the life he lived.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linda and William Orosco; his daughter, Angela Orosco; and his granddaughter, Brittnee Darin Parkerson, along with many other beloved family members.
He is survived by his children, Bobby, Anna, and Alex Orosco; his granddaughter, Vanessa Orosco (Carlos Heredia); and his great-granddaughter, Angelica Heredia Orosco. Alongside them, he leaves behind many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him deeply and wish to honor his memory privately.
He is also survived by his siblings Beatrice Salazar (Paul Salazar) William Orosco (Isabel Orosco) and Gabriel Orosco (Rachel Orosco); and by his nieces and nephews Gina Smiley, Kristy Dizon, Saudia Nichols, Willie Orosco, Gabriel Orosco, Melissa Orosco - Tabaldo, David Orosco, Natalie Hernandez, and Janell Barcellos.
In addition to his immediate family, he was loved by a large extended family and a wide circle of friends, all of whom were touched by his warmth, humor, and unwavering presence.
To many, he was just Bobby, but to those who knew him best, he was Dad, Grandpa, and the heart of the family
Though he may be gone, Bobby’s laughter, love, and legendary sense of humor will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him
Services are being held at the Lindsay - Strathmore cemetery @ 11:00 am on April 28, 2025 and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Exeter Memorial Building following the services.
