Refugio Ortega Jr., known as Little Cuco by some and simply Junior (Jr.) by others. Those
closest to him called him Dad, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Son-in-Law, and Friend.
Jr. was born and grew up in Lindsay where he later married and raised his children - proud to
have stayed in his beloved hometown his entire life. He kept to himself, said only what was
necessary, and never raised his voice in anger. Jr's laugh was infectious and if you had the
privilege of loving him, you are among the fortunate.
Faithful to his Raiders, he showed his pride by naming the family pets, Oakland and Raider.
Jr. leaves behind his two children, Avery and Refugio Corey Ortega. Five Grandchildren,
Damaris, Refugio, Raylene, Everly Ortega and Cosette Herman, all who he shared with his ex-
wife, Norma. Surviving Brothers are John Ortega, José Guadalupe Ortega, and Sister-in-Law
Beatrice. Godchildren, Ivan Rodriguez and Artesia Ruiz, as well as 14 nephews and 14 nieces.
Not to mention all the lives he touched and all of the friends he made throughout the years. He
was preceded in death by his parents Refugio & Petra Ortega and brother Jesus Ortega.
Your Children would like to end with, “Dad, thank you for showing us unconditional love!
Through us your Grandchildren will know you. You are loved and will forever be missed. Go
Raiders".
