Ramiro Munoz

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 15 at 10 A.M. at Webb Sanders & Smith Funeral Home in Lindsay for Ramiro Munoz, 41 of Reedley and formerly of Lindsay who passed away suddenly July 3.

Ramiro was born September 17, 1978 in Exeter to Rogelio and Elizabeth Munoz and was raised and attended school in Lindsay. In his younger years he worked for American Air and Vamco and he enjoyed life to the fullest.

At the time of his passing, Ramiro was a Staff Member, Minister and Mentor at Central Valley Teen Challenge in Reedley where he had made his home over the last 4 years. Once Ramiro entered the Teen Challenge program and began working on his own life, he made the decision to try helping others to turn their lives around. He moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute where he took classes in ministry to become a mentor and staff member for Central Valley Teen Challenge. He took leadership and training classes and was involved in various ministries all over the greater Los Angeles area. When Ramiro returned to Central Valley Teen Challenge, he became very involved with the program there. He served as a spiritual advisor and helped one-on-one with encouragement and guidance counseling and loved his Teen Challenge family. He also was a work assignment supervisor and taught work ethic and helped those around him to develop a positive work ethic that would help them prepare for their future. Ramiro will be remembered for his extra hard work ethic and his generous spirit. He was highly esteemed and respected by the staff and students at Teen Challenge. He made everyone feel that were his friend and had a profound impact on many students of Teen Challenge.

Ramiro is survived by his parents Rogelio and Elizabeth Munoz of Lindsay; his children Rochelle, Michael and Emily;  his brothers Richard Munoz and Robert Munoz; his maternal grandmother Antonia Salas; nephew and god-son Andres Munoz, nephew Alejandro Munoz as well as numerous other relatives and friends and of course, his Teen Challenge family.
