Mervin Clark Obituary

Mervin Everett Clark

Mervin was born is Sioux City, Iowa on the 11th of March, 1944. He was the first of the three sons and one daughter born to Horace Henry Clark and Ruth Beatrice Hartman Clark. Mervin made his exit from this world on June 5th, 2026 awaiting the hope of the Ressurrection from the dead.

Mervin spent the majority of his adult life in various areas of sales and management. For over fifteen years, he worked as an independent salesman, representing numerous lines process heating in Central California. Prior to this, he managed an oil-field service company in Bakersfield, California, and worked for Sears for many years. His passion was the Oneness Pentecostal faith. He was baptized in Jesus' Name at the hands of Pastor I. H. Terry in October 1960. Mervin carried a love for the Gospel for the remainder of his life.

Mervin was preceded in death by his first wife, Dana Elaine Clark (née Wilson), the mother of his two sons; his younger brother, Larry; and both of his parents. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Virginia Clark (née Tredway); his brother, Kenneth Clark, and wife, Sherrie Clark, of Davis, CA; his sister, Dorean Watson, and husband, David "Cowboy" Watson of Richwood, Texas; his sister-in-law, Donna Manwarren, and husband, Gary Manwarren, of Heavener, OK; and his two sons and their spouses: Don and Dena Clark, and Michael "Country" and Violet Clark.

Mervin has seven grandchildren and their spouses: Sabrina and Colby Condren, Candy and Anthony Moisa, Michael and Amanda Clark, Vernon and Stephanie Clark, Leighan and Aaron Harrington, Denette and Phillip Wagner, and Dana and Blas Barboza; and adopted grandchildren Isaac, Elizabeth, and Rebecca Azua, all residing in Bakersfield, California. His grandchildren blessed him with fifteen great-grandchildren: Shea, Carli, Brynlee, Anthony, Daniel, Michael, Caleb, Grace, Everett, Amelia, Caroline, Charlotte, LilyAnn, Kole, and Olivia.

Mervin married Virginia and moved to Strathmore, CA, in 1991. He was a great help to the three pastors during his time at The Harvest Center, UPC. He also ministered to other local churches, namely Jesus Assembly in Woodville, CA, pastored by Bro. Donnie Smith. He has left behind a great church family and friends, all who have benefitted from his study and dedication to the Word.

Mervin's desire is that the peace of God, which he had during his lifetime, would be experienced by all whom his life has touched.
