Margarita Rodriguez

In Loving Memory

Margarita Rodriguez was born in Puruandiro, Michoacan, Mexico on December 10th, 1934. She was 86 years old at the time of her passing.  She and her husband and their young daughter immigrated to the United States in 1956 and lived in Lindsay, Ca. for the last sixty-four years.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lindsay, California. 

Margarita was a proud independent woman and could often be seen strolling around town in her motorized scooter.  She enjoyed attending church and would often participate in activities at her local Senior Citizen Community Center.  She was a devoted mother to 11 children, and grandmother to 30 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  She was also a sister to four brothers and two sisters.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Jorge Rodriguez, and her parents Sabino Aguilar and Abelina Monzon Aguilar.  She is survived by her four sons, Jorge Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez, Ismael Rodriguez and Anastacio Rodriguez and her seven daughters, Sophia Melo, Olivia Millan, Margarita Garcia, Teresa Rodriguez, Sulema Escobar, Cecilia Reyna and Stella Ryland and their families.  She is also survived by one sister and one brother. 

She was a friend to all and was greatly loved by her family.  She will be greatly missed. 

Graveside Services will be held at the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery on Thursday, December 9, at 11:30 AM.  Masks are highly encouraged at the cemetery.
