Linda Marie Ford Byus
On December 15, 1955, Linda was welcomed into the world to Robert Eugene and Juanita May Shropshire Ford. She was the second of five children. Patti preceded her in 1954. Robert followed in 1958, Orval in 1965, and David in 1963. The family of 7 lived in Lindsay, California surrounded by grandparents, aunt, uncles, and cousins.
As a child, Linda was active in 4-H. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and raising animals. Linda won a sewing competition at age 15 and was awarded with a sewing machine from the local 4-H leaders. Linda and Patti used the earned sheep proceeds to purchase their first car together. As they were busy working the 4-H projects, Linda learned how to run a small business. She used this skill when she opened her beauty parlor. She was a talented and coveted hairdresser. Linda was also active in sports. She was on the local swim team and judo club. She loved to ride horses every chance that she got. Linda's quick wit and smile won her many friends.
Linda has three children. Christina, who proceeded her in death in 1981, David Banks of Lindsay and Melissa Hughes of Post Falls Idaho. Linda has 6 grandchildren Dillon, Natori, Christina, Levi, Luke, and D.W.
Allen Byus and Linda were married 32 years. Both were active in outdoor activities; fishing and country music were their favorites.
Linda loved being a homemaker. She excelled at cooking and decorating her home. She was happiest working in her home and yard with family around her.
Linda helped in the raising her step daughters, Dana and Amy.
Linda went to be with the lord 11/21/2023. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday December 4th at 1:00 P.M. at Lindsay district cemetery.
