Josie Teresa Padron

Josie was born March 13, 1971 in Bakersfield to Leonardo and Dalila Padron and raised and attended school in Lindsay. She married Nestor Varela in 1989 and they also made their home in Lindsay. She worked in food preparation for many years and enjoyed what she did. Josie will be remembered for her fighting spirit and her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a sports mom and a boxing mom and was a strong, proud woman. She was a loving daughter, sister wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved helping others and would often put the needs of everyone else, before her own. Family was everything to Josie. She was preceded in death by her father Leo Padron. She is survived by her mother Dalila Miller; her children Veronica Borquez, Sergio Varela, Nestor Varela II and Ivan Varela; her brothers Reggie Padron, Leo Padron Jr. and Nick Padron; her sisters Rosie Padron, Sorina Padron, Alicia Padron and Tina Padron as well as her 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
