Josephine R. Serda

Josephine Serda passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born in Oakland, CA on September 8, 1929 to Francisca Matheson and Arcadio Renteria. She married Juan Serda on September 19, 1952 in Wasco, CA and settled in San Jose, CA. In 1972 they moved their family to Lindsay, Ca and in 2014 moved to Tulare, CA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Juan Serda, daughter Andrea Gonzales and daughter in law Claudia Serda. She is survived by her sons Gilbert Serda and Raymond Serda 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 

Josephine was an active member of the catholic church. She was a catechism teacher for many years, served as a Eucharistic minister and was involved with various ministries such as: Cruisita, marriage group, Lindsay prayer group and Lindsay prayer blanket group to name a few. She loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, crocheting and cooking. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Webb Sanders and Smith Funeral Home in Lindsay, CA.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Webb Sanders Funeral Home in Lindsay, CA.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Tulare, CA.

A Graveside will follow Mass at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery in Lindsay, CA.
