Joe Servin Obituary

Surrounded by his loved ones, Joe Servin (aka Uncle Jr, Papa, Grandpa Joe, and Compa Joe) was recieved into heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ on April 21, 2026. Joe was born May 16, 1956 in Lindsay California and raised by his Aunt and Uncle Cecilio (Pop) and Sally (Sy) Servin. Joe was a very hard worker, working in the fields at a very young age along with his siblings, his aunt, and uncle. He graduated from COS where he majored in carpentry. Joe then became a general contractor and started his own business 'Joe Servin Construction & Son'. Joe worked in construction for twenty-two years. When construction slowed down Joe was hired by Avenal Prison as a Plumber II and later transferred to Kern Valley Prison where he later retired in September of 2025. Joe was survived by his wife Irma Servin of 17 years, his daughter Racquel (Pedro), his son Jason, and six grandchildren from a  previous marriage. Joe also had  three step children, Melinda (Ricky), Albert, and Cynthia, fifteen step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren, three sisters,  Louisa (Juan), Helen (Alfonso) and Rosemary, three brothers, Joey, Rosalio (Dana) Johnny (Connie) and many nieces and nephews. Surrounded by his family and friends Joe would love to sing and dance to his favorite oldies. Joe's sense of humor would have everyone laughing especially with the younger generation who loved being around him. Joe became our honorary turkey carver every Thanksgiving. Joe loved working on his '67 chevy impala and driving his '38 olsmobile. Joe was also a member of Lindsay's Finest Car Club.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Rosie Servin, his sister Christina, his Aunt and Uncle Cecilio (Pop) and Sally (Sy) Servin, and a brother Henry Servin. Joe's laughter, sense of humor, and his love of life will be greatly missed. The void that has been left in our lives will be filled with cherished memories and loving hearts knowing that one day we will see him again
