Obituary for Freddie A. Esparza (Fred)
July 19, 1937 - June 15, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Freddie A. Esparza, known to many as Fred, on June 15, 2024. Born on July 19, 1937, Fred was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Fred began his working life as a field worker and later became a forklift driver, a profession he dedicated himself to for over 40 years. His hard work and commitment were evident in everything he did. In addition to his professional life, Fred was a passionate NFL Raiders fan and a car enthusiast. His love for the Raiders and his enthusiasm for cars were well-known among his family and friends. He joins his parents, Rolmaldo Esparza and Jessie Aguirre Esparza, as well as his brother, Thomas (Tater) Esparza, who have passed away. He is survived by his devoted wife, Enedina Esparza; his son, Freddie G. Esparza; his daughter, Nadine Castanon; and his daughter-in-law, Victoria (Toya) Esparza. Fred is also survived by his immediate grandchildren: Robert Castanon, Lisa Rachel Pultorak, Adrian Castanon, Jessica Lopez, Freddie Esparza Jr. III, Paulino Esparza, Erica Gomez, Eric Esparza, Frankie Castanon, Arlene Ramirez, Larry Esparza, Ricky Castanon, Brianna Castanon, Ralph Gomez, and Juan Lopez. Additionally, Fred leaves behind 31 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Fred is also survived by his two sisters, Louisa Perez and Rosie Rodriguez. Fred had a unique way of showing his love for others, and though his expressions of affection were distinctive, they came from a place of deep love and care. Fred will be truly missed by his family and friends. His memory will remain in our hearts, and he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Freddie A. Esparza (Fred).
