Frank Borbon Obituary

Sadly we say goodbye to Frank Herrera Borbon. He passed peacefully with his family by his side July 1, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1929 in Fullerton, California. His family moved to Lindsay when he was a very young child. He attended Lindsay and Exeter schools.

Frank is survived by his wife, Dolores Arroyo Borbon, married on December 4, 1955. They have three children: Debi Patman (husband Rodell), Nick Borbon and Nancy Baliad, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings. Surviving siblings: Roman, Henry, Nadine (husband Richard), Ernestine (husband Juan), Pauline, Hortense (partner Don).

Frank's father was a contractor so he taught Frank and his brother Rudy, at age 15 and 17 how to drive the big work trucks. They helped their father by loading fruit onto trucks and transported the fruit to local packing houses, At 22 years old, Frank enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an ambulance driver. He drove an ambulance down the steep mountains with very narrow roads, mainly transporting emergency patients to local hospitals. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked tending to the orchards of local ranchers, then secured a position with the USDA as an Agriculture inspector before his retirement. He was a dedicated husband, father and hard-working man who lived his entire life with the utmost integrity.

Frank was known by family and friends as a kind, and respectable man. He had a great sense of humor with a contagious laugh. He was an avid sport fan of all sports and quite the history buff. He was a past member of the Lions International Club and Edad De Oro.

Frank was a remarkable man who was much loved and will be missed by many.
