Danny was born to Roy (Bud) and Francis Medsker on October 4,1949 in Selma California. He grew up and made lots of friends in Caruthers. Went all through school at Caruthers Elementary and Caruthers High school where he met his high school sweetheart Phyllis Crombie. Phyllis and Dan got married in 1969 and soon started a family. They welcomed their first born son Jason Medsker in August of ‘70 and then their daughter Laura Medsker in November of ‘74. In May of ‘83 Danny and the entire family went through a heartbreak as Phyllis suddenly passed away from a fast acting cancer.
Danny met Linda Fite in ‘87. They dated and soon got married in ‘88. Danny gained and raised 4 more children like his own; James, Darlene, Donna, Kevin. In August of ‘91 Danny, Linda and entire family underwent yet another heartbreak when Kevin was in a tragic car accident and passed away. In the Fall of 2004 Danny and Linda packed up and moved to Reno, Nevada. They loved their life together but unfortunately in 2008, Linda passed away of breast cancer.
Danny went through his fair share of hardships and heartbreak in his lifetime but he always had his family and friends for comfort. In 2017 his daughter Laura moved up to Reno. Dan and Laura had their weekly meals up at the Gold Dust where they both made multiple friends with the staff.
In his final 3 weeks of his life he had all 5 of his kids and 3 of is grandkids up there with him helping out if he wanted/needed and to say their last goodbyes. We love and will be forever grateful for you. You will be missed dearly dad, grandpa, uncle and friend.
