Arthur Morillo Sr. Obituary

Arthur Tim Morillo Sr.

January 24, 1940 – October 15, 2025

Arthur Morillo Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and man of profound devotion to his Catholic faith, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lindsay, California, on January 24, 1940, to the late Refugio and Marina Morillo, Arthur was one of eight children raised in a loving and faith-filled family, where devotion to faith and to one another shaped the values he carried throughout his life.

Born and raised in Lindsay, Arthur lived his entire life in the community he loved. A proud Lindsay High School Cardinal graduate, he went on to study and compete in cross country at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California, and at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he was an architecture major. Arthur remained an avid runner throughout his life, completing many regional marathons. It was not uncommon to see him running along the orange and olive tree–lined roads of Lindsay, a place that always held his heart.

Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and carried throughout his life a deep sense of pride and love for his country. His service reflected his strength, discipline, and enduring commitment to honor and responsibility.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Frank, Alex, Mary, and Clara, and is lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings Joseph, Frances, and Elizabeth. Arthur’s life was marked by humility, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to his family and his Catholic faith.

Arthur was married to his beloved wife, Rebecca, for 61 blessed years—a marriage built on steadfast commitment to family and faith. Together they created a family founded in love, faith, generosity, and compassion.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Tim (Virginia) and Marcus (Janell), and is preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Veronica. Arthur was the proud grandfather of Justin, Jordan, Ariana, Dayana, Jyselle, Julianna, Michela, Caitlin, Spencer, Camille, Isaiah, and Jayden, and the adoring great-grandfather of Hailee, Noah, and Leo. His family was his greatest joy and the heart of his life’s purpose.

Arthur lived each day with quiet strength, humility, and gratitude. His enduring devotion to his Catholic faith guided him through life’s blessings and challenges, and his kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. It was not uncommon to see Arthur working on projects for family members or friends, always willing to lend his time, skills, and care to help others. Whether gathered around the dinner table, taking a nap under a tree, or sharing stories in laughter, Arthur found grace and peace in life’s simplest and most meaningful moments.

A Visitation and Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay, California. Burial will follow immediately at Lindsay/Strathmore Cemetery.

“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
