Adam Rene Guillen was born on February 10, 1998 in Delano, CA and lived in Delano all his life. He is a graduate from Delano High School and was a freshman at Bakersfield College. While attending Delano High, he played football as a freshman. When it came to professional football, he was a fan of the Redskins.
Adam attended World Harvest Int’l Church in Delano since the age of 3 and was water baptized by the age of 10 after accepting the Lord into his life. He was the youngest usher at church and also assisted with the sound board.
Adam met many interesting people as he attended various events with his dad, Pastor David. He once chased down Dog the Bounty Hunter at a birthday celebration he and Pastor David attended in Beverly Hills. This was one of the highlights of people he met. He enjoyed many activities such as attending local football games, the annual Friends of the NRA Delano dinners, Delano Elks and other Community events and playing Fortnite along with other Play Station games with friends online. He also loved to travel to the coast (Cambria, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, SLO) Los Angeles and anywhere else just to be around his dad, family and friends. He had numerous friends, a large family and loving church family at World Harvest. Adam is going to be missed by all who knew him.
He had aspirations of going back to Bakersfield College. However, Adam passed away on January 31, 2020. Those who knew him were shocked to learn of his passing.
Adam is survived by his mother, Lydia Salazar Rodriguez, step-father Louis Rodriguez; girlfriend Alejandra Gonzalez; sisters Misty Figueroa, Ashley Guillen, Nikki Guillen and Priscilla Guillen; grandmother Ophelia Salazar; nino/uncle Victor Salazar; his dad Pastor David Vivas, Jr.; grandparents David and Lida Vivas; nephews and nieces: Destiney, Evelyn, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Krisieana Michelle, Kaylee, Christian, Josiah, Tony, Xane and Kai.
Memorial Services for Adam will be as follows: Thursday, February 20, 2020. Viewing will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm. Final Tribute Service to Adam will be Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11:30 AM. A luncheon will follow. These services (including viewing) will take place at Delano First Assembly of God 2222 – 9th Ave in Delano.
