Florene (Gilbert) Vaughn

A Home Going Celebration of the Life and Legacy of the Reverend Florene Vaughn Th.M, former First Lady of Apostolic Revival Tabernacle, will be held on Monday, April 29 at 10:00 A.M. at World Harvest Pentecostal Church 5242 N. Garfield, Fresno, Ca 93723. Visitation for friends will be at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. and will be strictly adhered to.

Reverend Vaughn served as First Lady and Co-Pastor of Apostolic Revival Tabernacle along side her husband, the Reverend Elga Vaughn for over 38 years until he was called to his Heavenly Home February 13, 2004. Mother Vaughn was a woman of profound prayer and faith and believed God's Word as she understood it, in it's totality. She was a woman of integrity and strength of character and yet also of humility and grace. She was a woman of profound poise and deep wisdom and served as a role model for young women in the church as well as in the ministry. She was not afraid of opposition and her belief in the Power of Prayer was renowned in the Pentecostal Apostolic ranks throughout the years. She may have been small in stature, but she was a Giant in the Faith. Whether in the pulpit or the pew, Mother Vaughn was a force to be reckoned with. Many times over the years, her faith was put to the test, and yet she remained a staunch believer in both the Word of God and His unfailing power and unending love. She was an active First Lady serving in various capacities and she took those duties very seriously. Reverend Vaughn also graduated from Faith Heritage College with her Masters Degree in Bible Theology and enjoyed studying God's word and sharing her sage and timely advice with anyone who asked.

In her sunset years, The Reverend Vaughn enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. While her family, friends and the world has lost a Hero of the Faith, Heaven has gained an Angel. The beautiful and Honorable, Florene Vaughn.
