The funeral home records date to 1900 and by all local historical accounts, has served the town of Lindsay and surrounding communities since that time. The funeral home has been locally owned and operated by several families throughout its history, and remains an independent family-owned funeral home to this day with the current owners having owned it since 2005. Historical accounts tell the story that the current location started as a small furniture store and the proprietor, a Mr. L.C. Losey, would often be asked to make a casket or coffin for community members and loved ones who had passed away. One day, someone asked Mr. Losey if he was interested in becoming an “undertaker”. He declined but supposedly thought of asking his longtime friend from Visalia, a Mr. Josh Hadley, if he might be interested in starting an undertaking parlor in Lindsay. And the rest is, as they say, history. Over 100 years of it.

The funeral home currently encompasses well over 7000 square feet and includes a quaint chapel that will seat almost 200 guests comfortably. It affords our families and their guests the ability to not only mourn the loss of their loved ones, but also to honor and remember their lives with dignity and respect. With the ability to show multimedia presentations and have their own music as a part of their “Life Celebration”, to a few quiet and cozy corners to sit and reflect, we strive to offer our services and facilities to assist those who are saying goodbye. From more traditional services to something simple it is our hope that we can continue to be of service, for generations to come.
